Clear processes, fast coverage and easy renewal of existing policies.
Activation & payment
Coverage is activated once we receive your completed application and the quoted premium (free of banking fees to us). In urgent cases, please provide proof of payment.
Term and documents
We will send all documents (including an English translation of your policy) by post and e-mail. Upon request, we can send them by e-mail only. Your insurance contract is valid for one year and does not renew automatically.
Renewal
Several weeks before expiry, you will receive a renewal offer including all necessary documents. If you wish to extend your insurance, simply pay the quoted premium and your contract will be renewed accordingly. If you miss the payment deadline or do not receive a renewal offer, please contact us by e-mail.
Changes mid-term
If you change your glider or wing, please inform us of the type, serial number and year of manufacture. We will update your policy and send you the revised document. A processing fee of EUR 10 applies; the same fee is charged for issuing and resending duplicates.
Additional Gliders
The same procedure and fees apply if you wish to add another glider or wing to your policy. Up to three gliders or wings for personal use can be insured (available only with third-party liability insurance for non-motorised solo gliders/wings).
Payment methods & fees
You may pay by bank transfer, VISA, MasterCard, Wise, Revolut or PayPal. Card and PayPal payments are subject to a 5% transfer fee (minimum EUR 5). For payments from outside the Eurozone, please add at least EUR 10 to cover bank charges.
Weekend express
Processing within 24 hours on weekends (from Friday 12:00 to Monday 09:00) and Austrian public holidays is available for a service fee of EUR 50.
A note on Serial numbers
Please note that we require the serial number of your glider/wing – or the main canopy in the case of a parachute – to activate third-party liability coverage. Due to aviation regulations, this coverage is linked to the glider/wing/canopy specified in the policy. Other authorised pilots using the same equipment are therefore also covered.
