Third Party-/Passenger Legal Liability Insurance Conditions AVB for Aircraft Owners and Air Carriers 300/2016 (English translation)

Scope of benefits
- Obligatory third party liability insurance
- Emergency rescue insurance (an existing other emergency rescue costs insurance has to be called upon first). We reimburse costs according to the insurance policy, but do not organise emergency rescue, medical assistance or repatriation.
- Valid worldwide (except USA, US territories and Canada – further information)
- Competition risks included
- Valid for all speedflyers – irrelevant whether started and landed by foot or by ski
- Austrian law applies
Coverage for pilots from outside the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland
Also available for pilots from non-EU/EEA/UK/Swiss countries. Coverage is limited to flights within the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland. Policies are issued for the duration of the event or holiday only, with a maximum term ending on 31 December of the current calendar year.
For participation in officially FAI-sanctioned Hang Gliding, Paragliding and Parachuting events, coverage is extended worldwide (excluding the USA) for the duration of the event, including up to one additional week of official training flights or jumps in connection with the event.

The Special Drawing Right (SDR) is an artificial currency unit of the International Monetary Fund. The statutory liability limits are expressed in SDR.
For policyholders in Italy the limit of liability afforded by Aviation Liability Insurance is € 1.600.000,–.

All premiums include insurance tax.
